Myki
Myki is a Transformative Livelihood Intervention (TLI) Project, initiated and facilitated by the Women Resource Development Department, Govt. of Nagaland in 2010.
The main objective of the Project is:
- Socio-economic empowerment of women of Nagaland
- Promote sustainable livelihood activities
- To promote products of local women through the Transformative Livelihood Intervention Project and other livelihood programmes
Food products, namely Gooseberry, Wild apple, Turmeric, Dried Pineapple, Popped rice, Ginger, Sumac, Groundnut, Anishi, Roselle, Soya bean Pickle, Dried Bamboo Shoot and Naga King chilli are being marketed under the Myki brand.
Quality packaging materials are being used to ensure that there are no leakages and the finished products are being made available in the market under the brand name ‘Myki’. Presently 14 (fourteen) products are registered under FSSAI.
Myki products are being showcased and sold in variety of platforms and it is rapidly gaining recognition both within and outside the State. The Department has also taken the initiative to open Myki Stores to showcase and sell the products made by the women entrepreneurs.
MykiFest is an annual event of the Department to celebrate the activities and achievements of women entrepreneurs, artisans, artistes, cultivators, SHGs and their contribution as equal partners towards socio-economic development of the State.
