Events
The Department engages in a wide range of activities besides organizing its flagship event, the MykiFest. Every year, it participates in various events, either directly through active involvement or indirectly through sponsorship of events organized by other women groups. Additionally, the Department takes part in national and state-level events, as well as other district-level events which hold relevance to the department.
MykiFest
During 2025-26, Mykifest was organized coinciding with the Hornbill Festival at the present Directorate premises at Bayavu from 2nd to 7th December, 2025.

The Myki Award aims to acknowledge deserving NGOs/SHGs and women individuals to recognize, honour and celebrate the remarkable contributions of women and women led groups who have broken barriers and have set new benchmarks in their respective fields by ushering commendable achievements.
During 2025-26, the Department presented the 2026 Myki Awards to seven outstanding individuals and three women’s self-help groups (SHGs) during the International Women’s Day.
