To bring more women centric programmes and facilities closer to the doorsteps of rural women, the Department has constructed Women Resource Centres at Mokokchung and Chazouba (Phek District) and three more are under construction in Zunheboto, Wokha and Peren Districts.
Due to Covid-19 pandemic, no regular activity were carried out. However, centres at Mokokchung and Phek were utilized as covid centres by the respective District Administration during the pandemic. Once the Centres are handed back to the Department and the present pandemic situation improves, training and skill upgradation activities are proposed to be undertaken in these Centres.
